BST500 Rebar, Bar and Coil
BST500 Reinforcing Steel is a ribbed steel with Western origins, BST – Betonstahl – being a German term, while the designation 500 refers to the yield strength.
BST500 reinforcing steel is also denoted as B500S, where S stands for ribbed steel.
This steel is classified into three ductility classes: A, B, and C.
B500A has the lowest ductility, with a specific elongation of 2.5%.
B500B has a specific elongation of 5%.
B500C offers the highest ductility, at 7.5%.
We supply BST500 with the following specifications:
Nominal diameter: 8–12 mm (coil) / 6–32 mm (bar)
Yield strength: 500 N/mm²
Tensile strength: 550 N/mm²
Minimum elongation at break: 10%
